Introduction

Produced with high purity and fine silicon carbide powder, the SiC Ceramic Foam Filters are featured with high strength against high temperature, withstand large flow of molten cast iron,  good thermal shock resistance and chemical stability. Mainly used for filtering and purifying ductile cast iron, gray iron, vermicular cast iron, cast copper, cast aluminum and some alloy cast iron in foundries and cast houses. The filters can effectively remove non-metallic inclusions, oxide slags, reduce trapped gas and then the filtered metal is significantly cleaner, solve the internal defects of castings.

Grades

TC-CFF-201 Normal grade of SiC ceramic foam filters

TC-CFF-202 Porosity>=70%, Compressive Strength R.T. >40 MPa, flexural strength> 25 MPa

TC-CFF-202 is a new type of high strength SiC Ceramic foam filters which have good impact resistance and is mainly suitable for the casting applications where the filter is placed at the bottom of the sprue or in the harsh conditions such as high temperature.
