Introduction
Pressureless sintered silicon carbide (SSIC) is the best friction materials for the mechanical seals of pumps and reactors in industries including automobiles, chemicals, oil refining, mining, and papermaking. Our Tecsic-BN (SSIC+BN) is more resistant to dry friction than Tecsic-CG (SSIC+Carbon Graphite).
Silicon Carbide Seal Face Features
- High hardness makes it an extremely abrasion resistant material
- High thermal conductivity, high tensile strengh and low thermal expansion makes it very resistant to thermal shock
- Superior performance in environments of hot gasses and liquids including strong acids and bases, even at extremely high temperatures
