Introduction

Zirconium oxide thermal spray powders made by TechCeramic are mainly used for thermal isolation applications on components from combustion engines, such as combustion liners and transition ducts. Other oxides, such as yttrium oxide, are primarily added to stabilize the zirconium oxide phase. Stabilized zirconium oxide has excellent thermal shock and fatigue properties.

Properties

  • Wear resistant, scratch resistant
  • High temperature and thermal shock resistant
  • Resistant to hot gas corrosion
  • Resistant to fused metal and particle erosion

Applications

  • Thermal isolation of combustion liners, transition ducts, turbine blades and vanes, etc
  • Pistons of diesel engines, valves, cylinder heads, etc.
  • Coating for metal fusion and tubes
